Hospital Services Support Foundation

HSSF is committed to help alleviate the suffering of disadvantaged patients in developing countries and equip underserved hospitals to provide essential care. 

The Hospital Services Support Foundation collects and ships medical equipment and other medical items, provided by healthcare providers to local non-profit organizations in Sri Lanka. 

HSSF is the local partner in California for Hospital Services Council, a leading non-profit organization in Sri Lanka founded in 1984. They assess the needs on the ground and deliver supplies and equipment as required. HSSF collects reusable medical equipment and supplies and ships them to Sri Lanka. They have shipped two containers full of medical equipment in the 2020 and hoping to ship more. They are constantly looking for sources, volunteers, and donors to help continue their efforts.

HSSF also conducted a blood drive in Danville, CA in partnership with The Red Cross and The Peace Lutheran Church. As well as completed a project to make face masks and donate to the local communities and non-profit organizations to help slow the spread of Covid-19.

Most recently HSSF started a Wellness Program to help improve health and wellbeing with the practice of Mindfulness Meditation to manage stress, anxiety, and other emotions during these challenging times.
